Introduction: In 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump’s economic policies, including protectionism, deregulation, and tariffs, reshaped both the U.S. economy and global trade relations. His «America First» agenda triggered disruptions in supply chains, financial markets, and international alliances, particularly with China, the EU, and Mexico. This study examines the immediate and long-term global impacts of these policies on trade, currency stability, and international cooperation. By evaluating the consequences of these shifts, the paper highlights the risks and opportunities arising from unilateral economic measures in a globalized economy. Methods: This research employed a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative content analysis of policy documents and government reports with comparative analysis of international trade and macroeconomic data. Quantitative analysis of key economic indicators, including GDP growth and currency exchange rates, was conducted using publicly available data from sources like the IMF, OECD, and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. Results: The Trump administration’s 2025 trade policies led to a 1.5% to 2% contraction in global trade. Stock markets, including the S&P 500, saw significant declines, reflecting market uncertainty. The U.S. dollar weakened, and manufacturing investments shifted to avoid new trade barriers. Russia, though not directly targeted, suffered from falling commodity demand, affecting its economy. Available data: No available data Discussion: The Trump administration’s 2025 economic policies, marked by aggressive tariffs and deregulation, have led to significant shifts in global trade and financial stability. These measures triggered a slowdown in global economic growth, with a projected contraction in international trade volume by 1.5% to 2.0%. The escalation of trade tensions, particularly with China, the EU and Mexico, resulted in a series of retaliatory tariffs, further destabilizing international markets. U.S. stock markets experienced significant volatility, with major declines in indices such as the S&P 500. Moreover, the global reallocation of manufacturing investments accelerated, as companies sought to avoid US-targeted trade barriers. These trends were accompanied by rising inflationary pressures both in the U.S. and globally.
